Community outreach and engagement are vital to the MNLEND Program and are part of our funding directive. Disseminating information to families, communities, and stakeholders plays a critical role in all LEND training programs across the nation.
MNLEND Fellows are expected to participate and attend special community-based events. In some cases, Fellows may present or help plan an event or training.
Additionally, MNLEND encourages Fellows to locate interdisciplinary local and national disability-related conferences as venues for presenting and learning. Limited funds are set aside to support Fellow attendance, especially possible when Fellows will present or participate in direct advocacy.
